Recently, a group of Ranken Technical College’s web development students visited Unidev and The Net Impact’s office to learn more about our process of business. The students viewed short presentations of the projects we have worked on and what they entail. We hoped to give the students a good understanding of how their Ranken education will help them in the “real world”.
The presentations presented by the professionals at The Net Impact and Unidev included:
- An introduction to TNI/Unidev: Steve Thomas, President of The Net Impact
- Unidev Technologies: Dennis Tonkovic, Project Manager
- New Java Development: Mark Raterman, Developer
- New .NET Development: Derek Bemis, Senior Web Developer
- Technology Discussion: Kayle McLean, Web Developer
“Unidev and The Net Impact have established and maintained a great relationship with Ranken Technical College. The presentation to our students was just phenomenal and the students were beyond impressed with the technical expertise and professionalism displayed by the employees.” – Evan Gudmestad, IT Instructor Ranken Institute.
We hope the Ranken students left The Net Impact with a better understanding of what a career in the field of Technology requires in today’s world. Our presentations highlighted the importance of continued education and certifications, off hour’s engagement, networking, and most importantly, that fact that you really need to have a passion for technology, in order to be successful in the ever-growing and competitive field. Thanks to everyone at Ranken for taking the time to visit our office, we hope you enjoyed the visit as much as we did!
